Highly efficient electronics

The switched-mode voltage converters from IVT were developed to convert a higher 24 V DC system into a lower 12 V system. The highly efficient electronics guarantee flawless and safe operation of 12 V DC devices.

Safe, constant, shock-resistant

All IVT converters are shock-resistant thanks to encapsulated electronics and are characterized by high efficiency, low power loss, stable output voltage and a particularly compact and robust design. All current protective circuits are integrated as standard. Permanent installation in vehicles with road approval is permitted due to the E-approval.

Advantages of the IVT DC/DC voltage converters

Stabilised output voltage

In the input voltage range from 18 V DC to max. 32 V DC, the voltage converters from IVT reliably supply a stabilised and constant output voltage of 13.8 V.

This output voltage can be used as a power supply for a wide range of 12 V consumers, such as consumer electronics, navigation systems or cool boxes.

Shock-resistant design

The DC/DC voltage converters from IVT are resistant to vibrations and shocks in accordance with EN 60068-2-6/14/64/27.

The encapsulated electronics guarantee many years of operation under the most adverse conditions. Even with constant shocks and vibrations, e.g. in construction machines, the devices work absolutely reliably and safely.

E-certification

All DC/DC voltage converters are suitable for permanent installation in all vehicles with road approval, whether passenger cars, commercial vehicles or other vehicles with 12 V or 24 V on-board voltage.

They fulfil the legal requirements of the ECE regulation and are therefore E-certified.

Standard protective circuits

All standard protective circuits are integrated in the IVT voltage converters. The devices are protected against reverse polarity and short circuits at the input and output.

The output voltage is regulated back in the event of an overload at constant current. Should the vehicle fuse nevertheless be triggered, it can be replaced quickly and easily if necessary.

Minimised power consumption

Thanks to the efficient technical design, the 20 A DC/DC converter achieves an efficiency of 97 % and minimises its internal power consumption to a mere 2 mA.

Furthermore, all IVT DC/DC converters are known for their low heat generation.

Switchable load output

The 18 A DC/DC voltage converter also has a second, switchable 12 V DC output.

The switchable 12 V output is only active when the vehicle's ignition is switched on.

Unnecessary power consumption and a load on the starter battery are thus avoided.

Robust and compact design

Thanks to the well-thought-out design, the IVT DC/DC voltage converters are particularly compact.

The robust metal or aluminium housing also offers optimum protection against impact and external damage.

Stable mounting is possible thanks to the holes integrated in the base plate.

Areas of application

IVT DC/DC voltage converters have been used professionally for decades in construction machinery, trucks, forklift trucks and agricultural and forestry vehicles.

The converters are also installed in buses, motorboats and sailing boats as well as camping in motorhomes and caravans - often in conjunction with 24 V solar systems and wind power.

Development & production in the EU

Converters are often exposed to high loads and must work absolutely reliably even under difficult conditions.

That is why we only use quality components in all IVT devices, place the highest demands on the manufacturing process and put every product through its paces before it is delivered.
