Smart monitoring – control and configuration

The solar charger is supplied with energy via solar panels and then stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, the Victron SmartSolar maximises this energy production and directs it intelligently to fully charge the batteries in as short a time as possible.

The wireless solution for setting up, monitoring and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices.

Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)

Especially under overcast skies, when the light intensity is constantly changing, an extremely fast MPPT controller improves the energy yield by up to 30 % compared to PWM charging controllers and by up to 10 % compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point detection for partial shading

In the event of partial shading, two or more maximum power points (MPP) may be present on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to adjust to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the SmartSolar device will always maximize the energy yield by adjusting to the optimal MPP.
