Digital Sine Wave Inverters

Whether stationary or mobile – the digital sine wave inverters of the DSW series can be used in many ways. They can be adapted exactly to your demands, due to the large power range of 300 – 4000 W, a peak output power that is twice that as well as comprehensive range of accessories.


On request, we are happy to supply you with AC inverters beyond our standard range with an input voltage of 36 V or 48 V DC or with country-specific output sockets.

Doubling the continuous output power to 4000 W
Two DSW-2000-Synchron 12 V can be connected together via a separately available connection cable to form a powerful 4000 W system. This achieves a continuous output power of 4000 W and a peak output power of 8000 W.

Please note that each DSW-2000-Synchron in synchronised operation requires its own set of connecting cables.
 
The Synchron version of the DSW-2000 is particularly suitable for operating powerful consumers such as power tools or electronic heaters as well as appliances with a high starting current such as pumps, compressors, refrigerators or air conditioners.

Advantages of the DSW inverter series

Microprocessor-controlled electronics
A microprocessor forms the centrepiece of the IVT digital sine wave inverter. This control centre monitors the most important parameters of the electronics, such as the input voltage and frequency.

This ensures the constant stability of the output voltage.

Thanks to this design, the digital inverters do away with large, heavy components and replace them with small, high-performance components.
True sine wave alternating voltage

All IVT inverters in the DSW series convert a battery voltage of 12 V or 24 V DC into a true sine wave AC voltage of 230 V/50 Hz at the output.
 

The true sine wave enables the safe and trouble-free operation of sensitive consumers.
Power start function

All DSW inverters have a power start function as standard. When the load is switched on, the inrush current can briefly reach 5 to 10 times the specified rated current.
 

The power start function attempts to compensate for this phenomenon by carrying out up to 5 start attempts in quick succession at maximum output power.




 
Safe 230 V output
All Digital Sinus inverters are equipped as standard with a 230 V safety socket suitable for plug types C (Euro plug) and F (Schuko plug).

Furthermore, all DSW inverters can be fitted with other country-specific sockets on request.
5 V USB connection
All digital sine wave inverters in this series have a 5 V USB port for powering suitable external devices such as mobile phones, tablets, cameras or navigation devices.

 
High peak output power
Especially with loads that require a high inrush current, starting does not always run smoothly.

For this reason, our inverters are designed so that they can deliver twice the continuous output power in the short term.
Extensive protective functions ensure safe use including in commercial applications

Galvanic isolation of the input and output stage (see illustration above)
Thanks to galvanic isolation, there is no electrically conductive connection between the input and output circuits. Therefore, no additional personal protection device (RCD or DI switch) is required, even for commercial use when only one 230 V consumer is connected.

Please note: If a multiple socket outlet is connected and several 230 V consumers are used at the same time, the German trade associations stipulate that each additional consumer must be protected by a separate RCD or DI circuit breaker. Please obtain information from your trade association or on the Internet at: www.dguv.de (this source is only available in German).

Our tip: The IVT Power Distribution Box BNV-3 offers additional protection against dangerous residual currents when operating up to 3 devices at the same time.

 
Dynamic deep discharge protection
The dynamic deep discharge protection ensures that the battery is protected against deep discharge and also allows loads with a high inrush current, as the switch-off threshold is briefly lowered. The deep discharge protection can be customised as required using the cable-connected Remote Control Touchscreen IVT FB-04 and the PC control unit IVT Webbox-LCD.


Further protective functions
IVT inverters also offer protection against reverse polarity and overvoltage at the input as well as against short circuits and overloads at the output. Automatic switch-off occurs in the event of overtemperature.
 
Switchable energy-saving functions
The switchable energy-saving functions can be used to minimise the inverter's own power consumption.

Standby function: If the inverter is not constantly required, the standby function enables the inverter's own power consumption to be reduced by approx. 90 %.

Sleep function: If the load output is not used for more than 10 minutes, the inverter switches off automatically and no longer draws any power.
Temperature-controlled fans
All DSW inverter models are equipped with quiet, temperature-controlled fans.

They only switch on at high temperatures and switch off again automatically at low temperatures. This minimises noise development.
Robust and compact design
High-quality SMD technology enables a compact and weight-saving design.

The valuable inner workings of the inverter are protected by a solid and stable metal housing.

Thanks to the mounting rail, it can be mounted stably in any position.
E-certification
All digital sine wave inverters are suitable for permanent installation in all vehicles with road approval, whether passenger cars, commercial vehicles or other vehicles with 12 V or 24 V on-board voltage.

They fulfil the legal requirements of the ECE regulation and are therefore E-certified.

Inverters are often exposed to high loads and must function absolutely reliably even under difficult conditions.

IVT offers you high-quality basic accessories – from connection cables specially adapted for the DSW series (standard version and for Mercedes Sprinter) to remote switches (surface-mounted and built-in version), a remote control (for individual control), the Webbox (for permanent monitoring of live data) and the shock-absorbing vibration dampers (to protect the inverter).
